SEO Content Strategy: From Keywords to Revenue

Marcus Rivera2026-03-1911 min read

Most SEO content strategies fail because they optimize for rankings instead of revenue. Here's the framework we use to create content that ranks AND converts.

Intent Mapping

Start with business goals, not keywords. What products or services drive revenue? What questions do prospects ask before buying? Map keywords to funnel stages: informational (awareness), commercial (consideration), and transactional (decision).

Content Clusters

Organize content into topic clusters with a pillar page covering the broad topic and cluster pages targeting specific subtopics. Internal linking between cluster pages signals topical authority to search engines.

Quality Signals

Google's helpful content system rewards content that demonstrates first-hand experience and expertise. Include original data, case studies, expert quotes, and actionable advice that AI-generated content can't replicate.

Measurement

Track organic traffic by landing page, but more importantly, track conversions and revenue attributed to organic search. A page ranking #1 for a low-intent keyword is worth less than a page ranking #5 for a high-intent keyword that drives qualified leads.
